Use toys, stuffed animals, or even random household objects as characters and make up a short story together.

Finish the story prompts

Give your child a sentence as a story starter and either let them make up a story or take turns adding to it - for example "One day there was a child who could talk to animals..."

Creating a new ending

Make up a new ending to a book your child knows or ask them how the story could have ended if something different had happened.
